Common antipatterns

What follows is merely a little commentary on issues I have personal experience with. As usual, there are shedloads of people who believe they know a thing or two about Agile antipatterns, and who knows, they really might. I don't actually know if there is some canonical reference for such antipatterns, so perhaps I have invented some new ones 🙂.

For those not versed in geek-speak, 'antipattern' means something like 'a common behaviour intended as a solution that actually makes a problem worse not better'.

  1. Scrum is Agile
  2. Functional specialisation
  3. Org chart worship
  4. Requirements as a metric
  5. The buck stops... over there somewhere
  6. You are Agile ! Now fill in these forms.
  7. The Agile Team of Individuals ( ATOI ).
