P200 – turning local sounds off
- ‘Local sounds’ are those that the P200 itself makes.
- Often ( usually ) you will want these to be OFF if you are using a sound from an external MIDI instrument.
- Therefore assuming that Performances are being used as per P200 – selecting a MIDI channel, then the System setting for ‘Performance Local’ should be set to ‘Perf’ ( pg 52 ), and the Performance setting for Local should be set to Off ( pg 55 ).
